The Hong Kong Government are taking what

steps are possible to remedy the error; but much

of the harm has already been done and it will

probably be impossible to recall all the copies

which have been circulated. I attach a draft to

Mr. Perrins.

Reports from Hong

I find that we received practically none

separately, but only in the bound volume of

Administration Reports.

The volume for 1925 is

attached and I understand that this arrived in

February 1927. Reports arriving as late as that

are not of very much use, except for purposes of

historical research, and in this particular case

we have been placed in a rather unfortunate

position owing to the fact that we did not receive

the report at a reasonable time after the end of

the year to which it relates.

I would suggest that we write to Hong

holdin Precedent Book (C)

Kong as in draft herewith.
